Treasure Diver - Splash Screen by EvanPearTree
Treasure Diver - Splash Screen
I present to you my newest project, Treasure Diver!

Treasure Diver is a game in development for iPhone and Android in which the player must guide a group of scuba-divers through dangerous obstacles to reach the treasure at the bottom of the sea. I'm doing all of the artwork including interface design and backgrounds, while two other people are doing the programming and the music. I'm very excited for this project and have already put weeks of work into it.

I'll be posting more about the game in the future. For more details about where I've been, check my latest journal entry!

Hello!

If you're a subscriber and you're reading this, you probably don't remember who I am. It's been a great deal of time since I've made any sort of activity on deviantART, but fear not, for I plan on becoming much more active on here from this point on. I could go into details of why I've been so absent, but to save you some time it pretty much comes down to going to school and a total lack of inspiration. The good news is that I've graduated last semester meaning I've had less time living in total stress and more time focusing on myself and my artwork.

One drastic thing I've put a lot of thought into doing is locking all of my old artwork on here. It was a tough decision, but I've spent a lot of time in the past months working on my craft and improving greatly. It's not that I feel that my old artwork is terrible (some of it is) but starting on a clean slate feels right to me as I don't want to be associated with anything but my best and newest work. Besides, I'll be working on new projects that you'll enjoy a lot more than what I've done in the past!

The project I'm working on now will probably take up the majority of my upcoming posts. It's a video game that I've already put weeks of work into including character design and backgrounds. When finished, the game will be available for mobile devices, but in the meantime I'm going to post my progress on here. I look forward to showing you guys, as I'm really happy with how it's coming out!

Anyway, I don't like talking about myself too much but I felt that I owed some kind of explanation through this entry. It's great to see you all again and I'm looking forward to what's to come!

Hey Evan! Hey do you mind if ask what resolution you do your Dusk comic in? I've been neglecting my project as of late, working on commission pieces (admana and fallen angel of dissonance) but want to get back to the grind. My one problem is I feel I'm taking on a huge task with my images being 11x17" (150 dpi)... is that too big?

11x17 should be completely fine. I might even kick it up to 200 if you plan on getting it published on paper or anywhere outside the web, but I'm not really one to ask because I'm not totally familiar with all that stuff.

I think your jaw would drop if you found out what dpi I've been using on my DUSK comic... I've actually been doing a 6x9 format at 600 dpi, haha. Simply because I have a lot of very tight details and I hate it being pixelated when I'm zoomed way in. Plus I feel like it has something to do with the
Manga Studio program; I've never done anything over 300 when I did stuff in Photoshop. I'm just being safe about it because I want to get it printed in the future, and I'd hate it to be pixelated after doing 100 like pages.

Also thanks for the fantastic doodle! It's pretty sweet, I think I might frame it and hang it near my bed. :D
